Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024)
The decision to make this a prequel feels off to me. You have the high-octane sensational Mad Max Fury Road (2015) get followed by a watered-down version of what made the film so good. If you are going to wait 9 years for a second film, make it something that stuns and amazes. The general feel is that this movie won’t be awful, but won’t be able to deliver like Fury Road. I get it, let the movie stand on its own legs, but it is hard not to compare them.
The Garfield Movie (2024)-
They can’t seem to make a decent Garfield live-action film. Also, come on now. Chris Pratt is not Garfield material. The movie doesn’t seem to have much going for it and rightfully so.
Streamers:
Atlas (Netflix) As I’ve stated over 90% of the movies created by streaming services are at best mediocre. Even this film with an above-average cast likely will prove to be another installment of ho-hum streaming content.
Hitman (2023) (Netflix) Limited release in theaters but on Netflix June 7th, 2024
Smaller Films:
Sight (2024)
