The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies gets released tomorrow.(Well, kinda tonight.) The buzz around this movie is very positive, but there is no wonder because.Peter Jackson was behind it.  Jackson doesn’t always get everything right, but he has been near masterful with these Middle-earth films first the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and now the Hobbit Trilogy.  (Near masterful because that first Hobbit movie wasn’t all that special.) This movie talks about the events that take place right after The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013).  There is sure to be lots of action and Middle-earth styled battles that will be all very entertaining.   My only issue with such final films is that instead of being its own movie, it feels more like the ending of a story. By which I mean. If you stand this movie with the other two Hobbit films, they complement one another. However, stand them alone and they lack things. That’s not such a knock against the film because all films of this nature (cut into two or more pieces) often suffer from it.

However, I’m going to see it, if you love the series then you will surely see it to. I expect to be fun and likely the best movie to come out until sometime in spring 2015

IMDB rating- 8.2
