A Hobbit from the Shire along with eight companions set out on a journey to destroy the powerful One Ring and save Middle Earth from the Dark Lord Sauron.

For a long time, I didn’t quite understand The Lord of the Rings movies. They were high fantasy, they were long.  I respected the craft of the filmmaking (because it is unbelievably good).  .

When I got to a certain age, I watched them uncut and extended. I loved them for everything that they were.  The acting is solid, the cinematography is perfection, the action scenes are beautiful. The various degrees of character development.

The Lord of the Rings is a beautiful trilogy that I think everyone should watch once. Even if you aren’t a fan of fantasy, but appreciate good film. This is worthy of your time. Watch it in increments, but whatever you do please check it out.
