Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)
Animated, Crime, Comedy
Director: Robert Zemeckis
Starring: Bob Hoskins Christopher Lloyd
Who Framed Roger Rabbit is about a detective who loathes toons and yet is the only hope that among the most annoying toons ever, Roger Rabbit, has at being proved innocent after he is accused of murder.
This movie is a trip. It combines animated characters with real life characters. The two worlds interact profusely and in many different ways. The movie is hilarious though a bit annoying at time. Some of the cartoon figures grate your nerves, but that is the point. The movie makes you feel annoyed, but also entertained. You also get to see famous older cartoons interacting with people in the real world which is interesting. Of course, then you get at least one character that makes people a bit uneasy, particularly Jessica Rabbit.
In all, this movie is a fun time. It has silly moments, some really dark moments, but is also imaginative and clever. Definitely worth watching if you love crazy 1980’s films.
