What do you get when you combine two great actors (Al Pacino, Gene Hackman) in the same movie? A great road trip movie with a very 1970’s feel to it. First off, Gene Hackman and Al Pacino are amazing in this film. Pacino is this odd simple guy while Hackman is this firecracker with trust issues. The best scenes are when these two are together; they make a strange pairing, but it works. I mention the 1970’s feel. The 1960’s changed a lot in this country, there was war and rebellion on social, political, and military fronts. By the time 1970’s came in, especially early on, the Cold War was really hot, Vietnam was still raging and for many who returned, it never left. There were new threats to fear in the middle east and a lot of places where becoming more industrial. America was rather disillusioned combined…
