Rewing- 1960’s- Judgment at Nuremberg (1961)

Judgment at Nuremberg (1961)
Director- Stanley Kramer
Cast- Spencer Tracy, Burt Lancaster, Marlene Dietrich, William Shatner, Montgomery Clift, Judy Garland,

Here is another great courtroom drama by Stanley Kramer. This star-studded movie focuses on the Nuremberg trials where an American court tries four Nazi judges for war crimes. With so many World War Two movies being released in the last decade prior to this film, this movie took a different angle.  It showcased the aftermath of the war on the German people who were so often misinformed or flat-out lied to about the war and the atrocities their country was committing by the Nazi party.. It asks some tough questions of the German people and of the very trial itself. Speaking on subjects of cultural guilt and value of human life,  This movie is well-directed with a marvelous cast. If you enjoy a good courtroom drama with some real life historical relevance then I strongly recommend you watch this one.
