Pumpkinhead

Let’s talk about Pumpkinhead (1988)

because it is a fun horror movie. (No, not great, but certainly fun.) Once again, the original is by far the best, although I did enjoy bits and pieces from the three sequels in particular number 4.
How to explain Pumpkinhead to those who have never seen it.  Basically, it’s a demon (ignore what #2 tries to tell you) that is controlled by an old witch. People can use the demon to seek vengeance against those who have wronged them, but it all comes at a terrible price. (Nothing in this world is free)  I’d like to say there is a lesson in that which people can learn from. (A good horror film can have life lessons for us all.)

The film is a good old-fashioned 1980’s monster film and there is nothing wrong with that. Shut your brain off for two hours and enjoy this film.
